Win in the Day of Trouble

Focus/Meditate On This:

When trouble comes, the Lord is not just your present help, He is also your salvation! Jesus tells us in John 15:1, “I am the vine and my father is the husbandman” (vinedresser, farmer, owner of the orchard). We must stay connected to the vine (Jesus) and know we are connected to the vine (Jesus). The vine (Jesus) will produce and provide nourishment and everything you need in life.  Psalms 91:1 reminds us that, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.” The secret place is “in Jesus” (the Word, John 1:1). First Corinthians 1:30 says, “But of Him are ye in Christ Jesus.” Jesus healed, delivered, and set the bound free (Luke 4:18, Isa 61:1). The One who saves is on your side and you are “in Him,” giving you the victory every time!

  • Lift Jesus Up. When trouble comes, bring Jesus on the scene! When you bring Jesus on the scene, you are calling on your Savior to do what He does. The Lord saves (Yeshua – Yahweh saves). John 4 reminds us of the woman at the well who was brokenhearted, and Jesus needed to go through Samaria to save the brokenhearted.  As we lift up, receive and follow Jesus, we will stay young, healthy, prosperous, successful, winning, etc. because as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). As you lift up Jesus, He will lift you up (He will heal you, clean you up, and prosper you). First Timothy 6:11 says, “But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.” Lifting up Jesus will allow you to keep your mind on Him and in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). The more you lift up Jesus and increase your faith by speaking, good things will start to happen and manifest in your life.

  • Don’t Compromise.  As you stay connected to the vine (Jesus), do not allow anything or anyone to change your confession or move you. We must continue to abide/stay in Jesus; and, when faced with stressful situations, we rest (Hebrews 4:11). We don’t struggle trying to figure things out, do things on our own, or even “do us,” we look to the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Do not allow anyone to speak negative over you either. We have the power and authority to cancel/rebuke and destroy every assignment and attack of the enemy and cancel every curse or negative word spoken over our lives in the name of Jesus!  Isaiah 54:17 reminds us that, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”  We cannot compromise with the world and do things the world’s way; but, we remain steadfast, unmovable and live the grace life (life provided to us by Christ Jesus).

  • Know God is With You.  For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son (John 3:16). God loves us so much that he will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).  In 1 Samuel Chapter 17, we are reminded of the story of David vs. Goliath. Young David knew God was with him and was able to overcome/defeat the giant (10 feet) Goliath.  David knew God was with him and knew God would deliver him out of the hands of the Philistine (verse 37).  David knew that the battle was the Lord’s. By knowing this, David was able to defeat this giant, not with a sword or spear, but a slingshot! God will give you strategies to win and will prepare you when you know He is with you and you trust and allow him to direct you.

  • Think It, Believe It, Say It, Possess It:  Thank You, Lord Jesus, for being my present help and my savior. As I stay connected to You, I will continue to lift You up and will not compromise or change my confession. I know God is with me and for me; and, by knowing this and staying connected to You, the true vine, I will win every battle, every time, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
