Focus/Meditate On This:
A breakthrough is a sudden, dramatic and important discovery or development. God encourages us to hear His Word preached, and we will see breakthrough -- breakthrough in our lives, jobs, finances, family being saved, businesses, new cars, new houses, witnessing the youth around us excel in school (grades and attendance), etc. The requirement to see these things and more is to first hear the preached Word of God. God’s Word is God’s power (Believe Right Live Right 193) so listen and listen and listen until you get it. Father God has chosen us, set us apart, and encouraged us to feast on His Word now to feed others later (Isaiah 50:4). When the time comes, from our innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water blessing those around us by the Holy Ghost and for the glory of God. Breakthrough comes from hearing the Word of God.
The Speech Pleased the Lord. When the Lord promoted Solomon to king of Israel, he humbled himself before God stating, “I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in” (1 Kings 3:7-10). The best way to come to God is like Solomon did, knowing nothing, an empty vessel desiring to be filled. He asked (Matthew 7:7) for an understanding heart and the ability to discern between good and bad, which is something that we all stand in need of. The speech pleased the Lord that, by faith, Solomon asked to receive from Him thinking lowly of himself though he was just promoted to king of Israel. We cannot lay hold of the victorious, successful, abundant life – the good life, the grace life – excelling in every area of life without Jesus. Our job is to dive into His Word for daily instructions and wisdom. He will build the church and cause us to have good success.
Faith cometh. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hearing the Word of God brings faith (Romans 10:17). When Father God sees us in His Word, He sees our faith and that pleases Him. Are you diligently seeking Him? To be diligent is to be persistent, determined, insistent, stubborn, steadfast, continual, unrelenting, constant, relentless in seeking Him. In other words, we have to have a made-up mind to make Grace our way of life and reign in life!
Let the Word do the Work. Wisdom is the principal (main, key, major, primary, fundamental) thing (Proverbs 4:7), and it comes by studying the Word of God. Meditation in the Word of God day and night allows us to become saturated so we get more revelation just before we see the manifestation of His Word in our lives. In order to enforce the spiritual laws (the Word of God), we must know the Word of God. The power is not in deeds (as wonderful as they may be), it is in hearing, believing, and speaking the Word of God over our lives. In the case study of the man impotent in his feet since birth, he was healed as a result of hearing the gospel preached by Paul and believing what he heard (Acts 14:1-12). The Word of God teaches us who we are in Jesus Christ so we do not suffer from wrong thinking (Proverbs 23:7). Knowing the Word gives us the advantage, flushes out evil, and changes us so hearing it daily is needful. The Word will do the work.
Think It, Believe It, Say It, Possess It: Thank You for Your Word Lord! We thank You for the revelation that faith, breakthrough and blessings come by hearing Your Word daily. We thank You that our spirit man is growing stronger as well as our relationship with You. We are most grateful for the wisdom and understanding that we need and want, in Jesus’ name. Amen!!
